In recent years, Faye Wong's private life has become from exciting and colourful than her career in showbiz. To sound wicked, the name "Faye Wong" has become fodder for everyone's gossip mindless chatter.

Isn't that true? Earlier in the year, other than the outburst of divorce with Dou Wei, celebrating birthday bash with her friends in a pub, most recently, that infamous book, well well, Faye''s news just follows up, catching each wave, just like her song in her latest album, "Exciting".

But that not what Faye is yearning for. To her, an 'exciting' life, means living peacefully with a dash of excitment.

"Isn't this contridictory? Yearning for a peacful but also exciting life? I think it isn't easy. But, I believe everyone doesn't like living in a boring manner, therefore, peacefulness with a dash of excitement isn't bad either!"

Faye has always given people the impression of being icy and distant. In actualy fact, she isn't like that at all. Especially, sometime back, while she was on the set of "Qiu Kup Mo Dei Jeung Mun Yan", her playful character was immensely felt. (According to reporters, a few years ago, when Faye was in Kuala Lumpur for her concert, she actually asked crew members to play hide-and-seek with her at the hotel.)

Faye explained,"The reason everyone is surprised is because of the distance in understanding! The audience doesn't completely understand me either. they read reports from the media, they think that I am like a block of wood or something! *< in print, Faye said "Mu4 tou2 ren2!!! So funny!!> that I don't like to play with anything, that I don't like to smile, actually why is that so? I also like to play AND I like to play VERY much!! *

Faye atcually admitted her playful nature in her own words, of course she won't deny that she is one who easily changes. She descibed herself like this:" I really don't kow how to describe myself. Easily changing or really stubborn perhaps. At every stage I always find myself different from the previous stage, as if I were 2 different persons."

She continued, "Once someone asked me if I liked my branded special character. I think it doesn't matter if whether or not I like it, but I have to accept it, beacause this is my innate character, I can only say if there are changes, one must accept it, because it's gonna be like that anayway!"

Faye, with her own ways, unknowingly mislead people to think she is living in an ivory house, don't see, don't listen, don't fight, not deaf, don't know, don't move, especially so after she has her daughter Dou Jing Tong, Faye around her every moment, the sky in the north, the ground in the south, as if with a daughter, she is perfectly contented.

Rebutting against the media's "misunderstanding" towards her, Faye said, "I can only say I don't want people's opinions to sway my thinking, or my view. I don't wish to do chnage soemthing because of one thing, especially things that I reckon correct. Actually, where is there anyone who doesn't mind somebody else's opinions? There's isn't such a thing that is so certain! But, must also consider the situation, if you feel that you are right, you don't have to bother too much about other people's opinions."

Faye spoke one strong word after another, and they make sense too, just like in her lyrics, she has faced many criticisms, saying that she sings "ee ee oh oh", don't know what she is singing. But towards these points, Faye still smiles.

"I have heard, somebody actually said when Faye Wong sings live, depends on her mood. If it's a sold-out concert, she'll sing well, if it's some small event, then she won't be too serious, continues to go out of tune. Firstly, I have to admit, when singing live, depending on my mood is a sure thing. I think almost every singer has this mentality *, and if every live * comes out exactly like the recording, then there'll be no Live or no Live."

But, what Faye doesn't agree is that she puts her heart and mind to singing only when there's money involved, no money then just sing any oh how, "At times when being paid, there're still times when I go out of tune, this wholly depends on my own stability and mentality at that moment, decided by whether or not I have the emotion and feeling."

Faye says, if there comes a time when she doesn't feel right, and cannot sing the quality that she wants to, she will be very frustrated. Afterall, she is a very self-knowing person.
